Information we collect
We only collect what we need to run OurEvent and keep your account secure:
- Account details: name, email, password hash, and login metadata.
- Social login basics: if you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email, and provider identifier.
- Event content: photos, videos, captions, and QR customization settings you upload or configure.
- Usage and device data: IP address, browser type, and operational diagnostics for security and performance.
- Payment records: subscription status and transaction references from payment providers (we do not store full card data).
How we use your information
- Provide and maintain event pages, galleries, QR codes, and sharing features.
- Authenticate users, prevent abuse, and detect fraud.
- Respond to support requests and operational communications.
- Monitor reliability and improve product quality.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce terms.
Legal bases
- Contract: to deliver the service you requested.
- Legitimate interests: to secure, operate, and improve the platform.
- Consent: where required by law (for example, optional marketing communications).
- Legal obligation: to satisfy accounting, regulatory, and lawful request requirements.
Data retention
- Account data is retained while your account is active.
- Event media remains until deleted by you or removed on request.
- Backups are retained for limited operational windows and then deleted.
- Transaction and invoicing records are retained for legally required periods.
Your choices and rights
- Request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data.
- Request export of your media/content where technically feasible.
- Opt out of marketing communications at any time.
- Withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.
Security
We use industry-standard controls, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), password hashing, access controls, activity logging, and regular operational monitoring.
Children's privacy
OurEvent is not directed to children under the age required by local law. If you believe a child has provided personal data without appropriate consent, contact us and we will review and remove it when required.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when product features, legal requirements, or operational practices change. Material updates will be reflected by a new "Latest update" date on this page.
